Pelly announces partnership with Hednesford Town

The National League North club will use Pelly to join up its data, scouting, and recruitment.
Anglesey, 30th September 2026 – Pelly is pleased to announce a new partnership with Hednesford Town Football Club to implement our football operations platform across the club’s wider football department, including scouting, recruitment, and the academy.
Founded in 1880, the club has taken non-league football by storm since Craig and Amanda Gwilt took over in March 2024. The owners have invested heavily on and off the pitch, including in an elite-level hybrid playing surface, the same system as at Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium. The club also has plans for a new training ground.
Following back-to-back promotions, they returned to the sixth tier of English football this season for the first time in more than a decade.
Having initially explored the idea of building its own in-house platform, Hednesford decided Pelly was the right tool to support its football operations. The club will use Pelly to centralise data from its existing data providers and consolidate all of its scout and player reports in one place, using its own custom player rating system.
With scouts, recruitment staff, coaches, and the academy now working from the same platform, the club will be able to make decisions on players and squad-building with greater confidence as they continue to plot their rise up the football pyramid.
“Hednesford Town approached us with a clear idea of how they want to work with their data moving forward, and I’m delighted that our platform can support those goals. We look forward to supporting their ambitious project in the years ahead.” - Iwan Pritchard, CEO at Pelly
“We considered building our own tool and also looked at different options in the market. They all excelled as standalone scouting or analysis products, but what separated Pelly for us was not only the level of support, but also the ability to build our own data models and workflows around the way we actually want to operate. It also joins up much more of the football department, rather than creating another isolated system.” - Matt Lever, Head of Scouting at Hednesford Town
