From the 2026/27 season, all 16 JD Cymru Premier clubs will have access to Pelly to manage their internal operations and recruitment.
Anglesey, 19th June 2026 – Pelly has agreed a multi-year strategic partnership with the Football Association of Wales. From the start of the 2026/27 season, every club in the JD Cymru Premier will have access to the Pelly platform.
The partnership comes as the JD Cymru Premier prepares to expand from 12 to 16 teams in 2026/27 – the most significant change to the league’s structure since it was founded in 1992.
As a company built in Wales, this partnership means the world to us. Two of our co-founders grew up watching JD Cymru Premier football. The league is part of our origin story
As fans, we firmly support the FAW’s strategic vision to grow the game and raise the level of professionalism across Welsh football. As a company, we are proud that Pelly has been chosen to play a part in that.

By giving all 16 clubs access to our platform, we will help them to make better use of their data, operate more efficiently on a day-to-day basis, and free up more time to focus on recruiting the right players and competing on the pitch.
“We are extremely proud of this partnership. Pelly’s roots are in Wales, and one of the first clubs we ever worked with was in the JD Cymru Premier in 2022. That experience gave us a close-up view of the struggles clubs face on a day-to-day basis and shaped a lot of what the platform has become today. We are delighted to now provide access to all 16 teams to help them recruit and manage day-to-day operations more efficiently, and in doing so, stretch the limits of their potential on the pitch.” - Iwan Pritchard, CEO at Pelly
“Over the past 12 months, it has been great getting to know the team at Pelly. It quickly became clear how closely aligned our organisations are in terms of vision and ambition. They have built an impressive platform that I’m confident will deliver value across the football industry. We’re delighted to be partnering with a Welsh-based company that shares our commitment and excitement to the growth of domestic football in Wales. Pelly has an exciting future ahead, and their journey mirrors much of what we are striving to achieve within the JD Cymru Premier. We look forward to working together and building a successful partnership in the years to come.” - Jack Sharp, Head of Domestic Football at Football Association Wales
About Pelly
Pelly is a football operations platform that brings a club’s data and day-to-day workflows into one place. Rather than replacing the tools clubs already use, it connects them – pulling together recruitment, contracts, compliance, squad management, and performance data so decision makers can see everything in one platform.
Founded in 2023 and based in Anglesey, Wales, Pelly was named Global Startup of the Year at the Wales StartUp Awards in June 2025. Pelly is partnered with clubs across Europe, including Motherwell FC (Scottish Premiership) and SC Cambuur (Eredivisie). Pelly is also the Official Innovation Partner of the 2026 UEFA European Under-19 Championship, hosted in Wales this summer.
